Objectives  

1. To offer activities that will attract the maximum participation of Dorchester County’s Youth. To be accessible to all our youth. Membership is for ages 9 to 18 and costs $10 annually. Community service can substitute for the annual membership fee.  

2. To coordinate with other community programs to give the maximum benefit and avoid duplication of services, whenever possible. We will work closely with all schools, Youth Services, Recreation and Parks, YMCA, Boatworks, CSAFE, and the Public Library to coordinate programs.  

3. To study and apply “best practices” of other existing Boys and Girls Clubs to insure the success of the Dorchester Program. To obtain ongoing feedback from our local youth to serve their needs and remain flexible to change or improve programs to reflect local demands for services.  

4. To offer programs and guidance by a professional staff that will assure parental support for the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester County.  

5. To give our youth a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and power to positively influence others.
